2007's Best Flat Irons and Hair Straighteners

The standards that were used to decide this "Best Of" list are; customer feed back, reliability, product features and customer support. The following review does not talk about each of the classes of flat irons or hair straighteners on the market. Just the top tier products were reviewed and the price was not taken into account.

The following reviews are based only on product quality, features and user feed back. The survey does not consider price.

1) The FHI Runway Series - This line of hair straightener is easily the best on the market. It provides each and every cutting edge capability; lightening fast heat time, 450F max temp, damp-or-dry styling, adjustable heat, revolutionary heating plates and the most consistent plate heating of any product available. Runway models also have the best user feed back of each the products reviewed. If you want the best hair straighteners out there this is definitely it, and they are pricey. These hair straighteners usually about $400.

Are the Runway models worth it? If you can afford it, absolutely.

2) The FHI Platform Series - As forerunners in the evolution of ceramic plating and tourmaline integration, The Platform series provides a top-notch straightener at a less expensive price. Available to buy in various sizes, the Platform series offers adjustable temperature, ultra flash heat times, PTFC ceramic heat plates and 450F max heat. While this series is less expensive than the Runway models, they're still on the expensive side at about $150 - $200.

3) CHI Pink Series - The stylish pink straightener offers the best performance and dependability of any flat iron in the Farouk CHI line of products. Ceramic plates, flash heat times, and temperature control combined with a comfortably and ergonomically designed handle make the CHI hair straightener an excellent option for people who want the most from their hair.

4) T3 Wet-or-Dry - This straightener actually has a rank above the CHI Pink series as far as product features, but it fell to the fourth spot because customers have struggled with returns on the warranty. Other than that, the T3 Wet-or-Dry provides consumers with a durable ceramic design.

5) CHI Turbo Series - The Turbo series takes fifth place in our 2007 flat iron review. This line of hair straighteners is used by more hair professionals than any other model. And even though its maximum temperature and flash heating are not as good as the CHI Pink, this is the perfect choice for anybody who wants superior reliability and performance.

Honorable Mention

Although our 2007 review of flat irons features the creme de la creme, there are many other high quality, professionally designed hair straighteners and flat irons available today. The following are some of those:
